cartoon. All what you need to have flexible arm. This is the most common used option for a arm creature. It contains the round feature, stretch, auto roll, finetweak.
fkik : switcher. And yes, wirth puppet soul you have a fkIk switch incorporated. Check the scriptNode Monk and RightMouse button Menu.
basicCartoon : it’s a light version of the cartoon. With it you need to add the stretch and similar options (smoothIk, etc..) or allAdvanced option by hand.

This -basicCartoon drives the stiffness attribut of the joint, wich is buggy since may 2011 and lead to ustable inbetween value (when you are not to exactly at 0 or 1). This is known and could be corrected with the plug of -cartoon option like on the arm. However that was never a need from now as the -cartoon usefull is not obvious on the quadruped.
