A FlexySpline is a super spine. The Fk and Ik controls work together and you dont have to choose. It’s also a bit more heavy than the usual PUPbuildSpine

For the animator it comes with some interesting features
When use with -stricf|||FkIk option (long neck) you can adjust the shape of the ik line with tangent
When use with -strictFkIk option (long neck) and if rigger specify the -fixLength, you can force the spline to have always the same length
if rigger specify the -fineTweak, you have acces to the skinned bone transforms
