OnMesh Controller are the perfect time saver for animators : Instead of picking overwhelming objects or use a picker, why not directly select the mesh?
PuppetSoul including onMeshControllers (omc) are like this : You directly pick on the mesh. Normally it concern only FK object, but this is matter of choice, technically all objects could have this onMesh display! Bu default (this) you are in ‘drag’ mode : omc automatically hide when moving them, to ensure maximum realtime perf. and maximum visibility.
Alt-c : then you go in ‘key’ mode instead of ‘drag’. Going in ‘key’ first mean you all hide them. But pressing and keeping ‘C’ key will display them temporarly. Just the time to select them!

Alt-Shift-C : you also have the proximity mode. In this mode, omc, like curves are only displaying when the mouse is close.
